Publication Ethics
International Conference in Education and Vocation (ICEV-MIA)

Selected papers from ICEV-MIA will be considered for publication in international proceedings or indexed journals, subject to peer review. The organizing committee upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and expects all contributors authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere strictly to ethical principles.

Duties of Authors
Reporting Standards:
Authors must present original research with accurate data and an objective discussion. The work must include sufficient detail to allow replication. Fabricated or falsified results are unethical and unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention:
Authors should be ready to provide raw data for editorial review and retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.

Originality and Plagiaris: Authors must ensure that their submission is entirely original and appropriately cites all sources. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.

Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication:
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals or conferences simultaneously is unethical.

Acknowledgement of Sources:
Proper credit must be given to prior work. All influences must be clearly cited..

Authorship of the Paper:
Authorship should reflect significant contributions to the research. All co-authors must approve the final version of the paper and agree to its submission.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest:
All potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed, including financial support.

Fundamental errors in published works:
If significant errors are discovered after publication, authors must promptly inform the editor for retraction or correction.

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects:
Authors must clearly identify any unusual hazards or ethical considerations involving humans or animals.

Duties of Editors
Fair Play:
Manuscripts are evaluated solely based on intellectual content, regardless of authors’ background..

Confidentiality:
Editors and staff must not disclose any information about a manuscript beyond those involved in the review and publication process..

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest:
Editors must not use unpublished information from submissions for their own research.

Publication Decisions:
Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's importance, originality, and clarity. Legal and ethical considerations also apply.

Review of Manuscripts:
Editors ensure a fair and thorough peer review process, selecting qualified reviewers with no conflicts of interest.

Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions:
Reviewers assist editors in deciding whether manuscripts are suitable for publication.

Promptness:
Reviewers should respond quickly and decline to review if unqualified.

Standards of Objectivity:
Reviews must be objective, constructive, and free of personal criticism.

Confidentiality:
Manuscripts under review must remain confidential.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers must not use unpublished information for personal benefit and should declare any conflicts of interest.

Acknowledgement of Sources:
Reviewers should point out relevant works not cited and report any suspected plagiarism.

Plagiarism Policy

ICEV-MIA uses reliable plagiarism detection software. Any manuscript with more than 20% similarity index will be returned to the author for revision or rejected outright. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited. If serious plagiarism is confirmed even post-publication the paper will be retracted, and formal notification will be sent to the author's institution and to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
